Meet Dr. Fisher
Michael Fisher, DDS
Designing his office from the ground up and equipping it with the very latest technology for his patients is the culmination of a career-long dream for Dr. Fisher. This dream really started long ago when he was six years old and was inspired by his grandfather, Dr. W.E. Fisher, also a general dentist. Reading letters sent by life-long patients to his Grandpa when he retired, Michael saw a lifetime of relationships and service that moved him to devote himself to the same profession.
For over two decades, Dr. Michael Fisher has delivered comprehensive family, cosmetic, and implant dentistry to area residents. He is a 1990 graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, where he also completed a post-graduate AEGD residency in 1991. Since finishing his formal education, Dr. Fisher has taken over 500 hours of advanced training in cosmetic dentistry and implant dentistry. He has performed countless smile-makeovers and has placed and restored over 2500 dental implants, giving his patients the unparalleled convenience that only comes from performing all phases of their treatment in the same office. He travels both nationally and internationally to train other doctors in the art and science of modern esthetics and dental implants.
Originally from Greenville, Dr. Fisher is a long-time resident of the Lake Ray Hubbard community and is a member of Lake Pointe Church where he has served on and led numerous international mission trips. He also teaches an Adult Life Group and serves on the Elder Board. Dr. Fisher maintains ongoing ministries and an educational presence in Russia, Mexico, and South Africa where he travels yearly to work with local churches, provide emergency dental services to the local underserved population, and teach area dentists.
Dr. Fisher applies his old-world attention to detail to 21st century family and cosmetic dentistry. From cleanings, and check-ups, to cosmetic dentistry and smile make-overs, to implant and reconstructive dentistry, and ultimately to a lifetime of complete care, Dr. Michael Fisher and our caring team of Linda, Cindy, Chris, Carrie, Glenda, Scarlett, and Brooke are here to serve you.
Dr. Fisher is married to Carla, his high school sweetheart. They've been married for over 23 years and have two children, Landon and Monica, both involved and active in RISD schools. In addition to spending time with his family, Dr. Fisher's interests include ministry and mission work, classical music, photography, hunting, history, reading, and restoring a 1959 Austin-Healey with his Dad. Wrecked in 1976 and sitting for 30 years afterwards, restoration of the Healey began five years ago as a family project, doing most of the work themselves. Michael, Carla, and the kids, along with his mom and dad, hope to make their first road trip in their restored car to Louisville, Kentucky for the National Austin-Healey conclave next summer in 2012.
